My Brief Blog Post on "What does it mean to you?"
For me purpose means creating a Safe Routes to School campaign for our school, Rock Ridge Elementary School in Castle Rock, Colorado. This is our SR2S site that I created to give us purpose and presence, http://srts.mile-highdads.com/.
The main question I have is will my school see any greenback?

Today was the 3rd and final game for us in the three day tournament that is on video below. We are white and Dakota is 76 playing Right Tackle on the offensive line the first half and Defensive End/middle Linebacker the whole game. "Dad I am a defensive specialist and I can't play offense very well." He got his hand stepped on by a cleat as well as his arm, shook off his arm but his hand really hurt.

Game 2 was a 4PM kickoff, were the boys tired? You had to ask? Good thing we said no to bringing our skatepark gear because that was in the same park and parking was at a premium. They say this weekend's games brought 20,000 visitors in to spend money in our town, right on!

Well almost, a win would have been icing on the cake but we lost by two touchdowns even though we scored a couple.

Tonight was our first youth Football contact with other kids who were not on our team. In the video Dakota is in his white game jersey and no. 76. He also has a black and purple 76 jersey for home games.

These days Dakota is really liking the contact of American Football.
He is not a bad little runner either but punishing hits with his shoulder lowered rocks some worlds and are what he likes. There is one hit I caught on video where coach let them go get a drink afterwards and he ran over with a huge grin on his face while saying "Dad, did you see that hit? I knocked him over the pad!" Be sure to see it at the 1:14 point in the clip. That's Dakota in the video in all Black with the white stripe around his waist. This is too fun for any Dad not to be proud!
Me thinks I've got a player on my hands now, check out the video!

Just got a call from our pediatrician with news that a worker at two Grand Lake restaurants has Hepatitis A and this has prompted health officials to offer immunizations to people who ate at the restaurants in north-central Colorado.

Dakota and his first ever attempt at running with the ball in Football. He said to me afterwards, "Dad, I like blocking better, you don't get hit as hard." That's Dakota with the white stripe around his waist.
Pay attention, it happens quick!
