You will find that if you really try to be a father, your child will meet you halfway.  ~Robert Brault

when you travel, do navigate by GPS?

When Navigating by GPS, do you set your cruise by satellite or Speedometer?

I have been an AtHomeDad since the birth of my son in 2002.  I and  have been around the web known as Milehidad, MileHighDad and lately as The MileHighDad.    I have been a part of Facebook, My Space as well as my sites are the above names.com.

This site is geared toward the Stay at Home Dad but Moms are welcome to be members here as well, SAHD's and SAHM's are known as an AtHomeDad and AtHomeMoms from hereon in my world because there is nothing about stay when young kids are involved.

As of this writing, I had been struggling with a web identity after switching web site hosts an letting my domain names expire, and of course web hosts are in no hurry to let their customers know of impending domain expirations on domains not registered through them.  Hence my web identity crisis and the start of what I hope will be a flourishing web site among local AtHomeDads.

i would like to make this the local portal for At Home Dads and Stay at Home Moms to find others like themselves while forming a web based community that shares play date information, classified ads, parenting stories as well as tips tricks with delima's they encounter along the way.

My mission is to connect At-Home Dads and their kids to play and learn.

Play With our kids at playgrounds, rec centers, and field trips. It gets us out of the house, together with other Dads, and the kids really look forward to time with their friends and the important work they do at play.

Learn We strive to share real-life resources and educational opportunities to help us in our role as parents. And the best real-life resource is the connection and shared experiences of other At-Home Dads.

Connect The kids aren’t the only ones who connect! Getting to know and “playing” with other Dads at playgrounds, Dad’s Night Out, Dad’s Breakfast, house project co-ops and other MileHighDad's functions opens an often unexpected door to fun, camaraderie and friendships.

MileHighDad's is a network of dads who stay home with their children, some part-time, some full-time, united by our commitment to our families. Currently, the majority of our activities and members are in the Denver metro area. However, it is our long-term commitment and goal to be a Colorado-wide network of Dads and I am eager to include Dads from all of Colorado as well as interested Dads from the western US.

All primary care parents, male or female and welcome.
